Nice HySecurity is focused on the development, production, and sale of highly developed and professionally installed gate operators for the residential, commercial, industrial, and hostile vehicle mitigation markets. We are looking for talented and collaborative engineers to join us in designing forward thinking products. 

Primary Functions:

As an Electrical Sustaining Engineer, you will be doing Electrical/Electronic engineering in the areas of existing product support, product improvement and testing, test fixture development, and firmware modifications. This role will expose you to a variety of products and processes while exercising many different skills. 

Role Profile:

Practical EE with a bias toward embedded systems. Quick to learn current products and processes. Strong communication skills and teamwork. Thorough and well-organized work ethic. Makes decisions independently but under high level general guidance. Does not oversee the work of other engineers, but possibly technicians


  • Provide direct assistance to Production and Quality teams, inspecting and approving product changes, building and maintaining test equipment, sustaining existing products. 
  • Design and implement enhancements to existing products including design of minor new products, product extensions and accessories.
  • Provide technical assistance and guidance as needed to Technical Support, Sales, and Product Management teams.
  • Work with and read existing C code for maintenance purposes, making and implementing changes to existing products.
  • Assist in development and testing of new and existing products.
  • Design and implement test protocols for new product functionality as well as existing product improvements.
  • Work with Contract Manufacturers of existing products on product maintenance as well as selecting and testing adequate substitute parts to be added to the BOM AVL 
  • Attend industry events as applicable, including trade shows and training events.


  • Software; Primary: MS Office, Altium (365 and Concord Pro), C/C++. Secondary: PLM, ERP. 
  • Excellent lab equipment skills: Oscilloscope, DMM, logic analyser, spectrum analyser, hand soldering.
  • Knowledge of PCB manufacturing, PCBA, and quality: DRC, gerbers, DFM, BOM maintenance. 
  • Experience with test and assembly equipment with a production environment. 
  • UL991 and IPC Class 2 experience preferred. EMC/EMI experience preferred. 

Education and experience:

  • BSc degree in Electrical engineering or equivalent. 
  • Minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience in Electrical or Electronic engineering.
